"Dont insist on english" video thoughts

I do agree with Patricia Ryan keeping a language from dying out preserves the culture built by the people who use that language. I also think people should not require another person to learn their language but to encourage them in a not arrogant way. I think knowing more than one language is a good thing because it can be a gateway to meet more people and learn about another culture. Also learning another language comes in handy if your in that country or a restaurant or something has the option of using that language.

Im pretty sure this song is talking about how devendra or the character in this song feel in love with a girl from the first time he saw her. He couldnt have her for awile but he finally got her love eventually, somehow but in the end they have to leave each other forever.

Current event 1

    The casino arso last week in monterry that killed 52 people showed Mexico how dangerous its drug violence has become recently. On August 31 it was reported that 140 schools will not be starting their school year. This is because teachers are to afraid to go to school because of gang threats, and thats about 600 teachers. The threat was given to a teacher in charge of handing out pay in the form of a written letter. In it saying that they want 50 percent of their salary and many more demands or deadly force will be used. Although no abductions or murders of any teachers have occurred yet, people are still in fear of what is to come.
